The sixth and final planet in the Helios system, Yule is a desolate, frozen tundra, full of mountainous terrain and a tremendous desert. The ocean, lakes, and rivers covering the planet, are all completely frozen over. Similar to Apollyon and Belenus, it is theorized that Yule once held somewhat substantial life, although more so than the other two due to the overwhelming amount of evidence of life still existing on the planet, namely far under the icy oceans and various microscopic organisms underground. With this being the case, Yule holds a mostly viable atmosphere, where although the air is frigid and thinner than a planet like on Typhon, it's somewhat breathable, but proper gear is recommended for prolonged periods of exposure. However, due to the rough terrain and copious amounts of ice, searching for resources has been very difficult and expensive, so nothing substantial is yet known.
Yule is a planet that has only started to be explored recently, but it's scientific prowess is promising. With the beginning of terraforming on Mar, the Bekenstein Corporation is looking at Yule in the future. For now, large settlement projects and research facilities are being deployed at key locations on the planet, setting up massive, pressurized city structures to shroud the people from the harsh environment, and at the very least, food is successfully being cultivated within the large greenhouses and livestock is mostly manageable for the small population, with Whitewater City spearheading the project, while other cities are established, and slowly expanding.
Inspiration
The name, of course, comes from the Pagan holiday of the same name, commonly and incorrectly referred to as "Christmas". Naturally, I needed my stereotypical ice planet, and the first one that I really took inspiration from is Noveria from Mass Effect, which I thought was somewhat unique. In coordination with that planet, it has always reminded me of Mars as depicted in the 1990 film, 'Total Recall', which is mostly how I envision Yule looking, except snow and ice.
