Sketchfab description
A ridiculous-looking, pump-action, double-barrel revolver designed by Rip & Tear Industries in 2065. Despite its over-the-top appearance, it’s a powerful 40mm platform capable of firing grenades, custom shells, artillery rounds, and nonlethal riot ammo.
Deployed late in the Battle of Anchorage, it became infamous post-war among scavengers, raiders, and factions like the Brotherhood. Its legacy lives on through wild wasteland stories—like The General Strike, a mythical Minuteman said to wield one capable of calling down artillery from the sky
Extended lore and description
A extremely ridiculous looking weapon that looks like it came straight some over the top comic book series or some ridiculous prop for a movie, despite how ridiculous it looks, this weapon has a lot more to it than meets the eye yes, it may look pump-action double barrel revolver which well it is not to mention it also fires a wide array of 40mm Munitions from things from custom made ammunition like 40mm gauge shells or even standard 40mm grenades or artillery shells not to mention it has a large array of nonlethal options to like the special riot pellets that come with the weapon although despite this weapon looking like some postwar scavenger made it. This is not the case in fact, this weapon was developed by a company, known as rip and tear industries and well they called it, the Brutal Warden.
Rip and tear industries they developed the Brutal Warden sometime around 2065 before being deployed in 2066 though, despite it being deployed and advertised as a Swiss Army knife of a gun, and also doing some shady stuff with military contracts doesn’t mean that they cut corners on this weapon that they made it reliable and it doesn’t explode in your hands however, despite it being deployed in Anchorage it didn’t see much use for the first half of the battle due to it being extremely heavy, and extremely painful to reload due to the size of the shells Thanks to these issues. Most were just left in an storage or in armories in the ones that were brought onto the battlefield were either in a flare gun configuration or a grenade launcher configuration and well it stayed like this for a while until the deployment of t-45 power armor after this miraculous happen the Brutal Warden started seeing more use and thanks to this the shotgun configurations started seeing a lot more use not to mention rip and tear industries made a specialize trench shotgun type pump which could be used to clear out trenches like the trench shotguns of the past this combo and with the t45 which well rip and tear industries, thought this would be a match, made in heaven, but thanks to the T45s limited mobility. It was still sort of an issue however, almost as if things were looking more bleak for the weapon the t51 is deployed, and the special modification that was made for the weapon started seeing more use then well eventually the eventually some more after market parts, started being deployed on the battlefield and the weapon see a lot of use although some creative soldiers made a special bayonet modification, and made manuals around the time of the battle of Anchorage but despite it seeing a lot of use in Anchorage and Alaska the people in rip and tear industries thought they could see this weapon used in a lot more things than just well warfare. In fact, they tried to look for other ways that could be used outside of Alaska there were many proposals how this weapon could be used outside from things like putting it on the civilian market, giving it to companies as a security option, but eventually one ideas stuck the idea of making special nonlethal ammo for it, despite some the higher-ups at rip and tear saw this as a good idea and well, the idea of a non-lethal weapon that could be used and things like and being used by police departments was idea that higher-ups at rip and tear like greatly and well the engineers went to work, and eventually made two special types of ammo for the weapon which state of the riot pellet and well after some tests, it seemed like these could actually work as a valid nonlethal way of dealing riots and but there was issued despite many official seeing the weapon and use they didn’t really see it as a good idea and well, they feared that if a civilian saw a normal police officer wielding a weapon like this, they would either not take them seriously or they would look way to authoritarian however the higher-ups at rip and tear argue that you guys use the riot, shotgun and a 22mm SMG which are probably know more lethal then getting getting shot by any other normal bullet these parts were made out of things like plastic and rubber. Meaning they would hurt the person it was used on not to mention they could had other plans to make more types of special nonlethal ammo in the future, despite everything only eventually at all, the ideas went through, and no one bought it so rip and tear weren’t gonna just leave it as that so they decided to put it into some test market place is like in certain states like Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Iowa, South Carolina, Vermont, Ohio, Massachusett and after some talks with some of the senators of the states eventually around September, 23 ,2077 the Brutal Warden was adopted into the police force and well, let’s just say, rip and tear industries predicted around 99% of the United State’s police force would adopt this weapon and use as a non-lethal riot control tool by 2080 but well almost like a ironic twist of fate, the great war happened however the legacy of the Brutal Warden did not end it did see a lot of use by scavengers who just wanted something ridiculous or scary to lug around what you know made most Raiders leave them alone Raiders also of course adopted this weapon because of course they did factions like the brotherhood of steel and the gunners started using the weapons however, there is one special case of this weapon being used by a faction, and almost becoming a legend of sort and that’s the legend of the general strike around the time the minutemen helping out the commonwealth one member decided to make up a story too well, just improve his friends morale, so he decided to make up a story about a great who wielded a Brutal Warden called the general strike the goes that the minutemen we’re struggling defending a big settlement to the point losing numbers, fast and morale and well the settlement was under attack by the enclave and things to the advanced technology. They took down a lot of the Minutemen forces that’s until a mysterious man came along with a special Brutal Warden with a custom graved forgrip and it well, let’s just say, almost, as if out of nowhere, he fired a few shots into the sky and the next thing they know the enclaves forces were wiped out a barrage of artillery strikes that came out of nowhere and well eventually, the minute men to save the settlement, and they lived happily ever after in the enclave never came back despite this story being completely fictional it didn’t stop one of his friends publishing it as a book, and also some of the generals, honoring the general strike in writing it in their history, he got to the point where caravan decided to make a special gift for the Minutemen which was a one to one re-creation of the general strike and well let’s just say it stayed in the display case in the generals, quarters as a piece of history and well it stayed there until the Quincy massacre when well the Minutemen got betrayed by Lieutenant Clint causing them to basically go across the waste land and well. Most of them didn’t survive this event, and to add insult to injury Clint decided to go to the castle with his gang of gunner and take the general strike for himself, but he realized he couldn’t take it out of the the display case. In fact, the display case was locked in, no matter how much times day through grenades into it or trade, smashing it it just would not open so they just took the entire display case and this was done because he believed that if a important piece of Minutemen history destroyed, or stolen they wouldn’t recover, and or be the same as they used to be but almost as a magical force was that played the weapon somehow gained the abilities from the legend mysteriously, and it’s waiting for someone to unleash the power on the commonwealth and well, despite that there is one other story of two friends one name, Boomer and Rusty let’s just say these two were best friends however, boomer got into an argument with Rusty and what you say, it ended and boomer death Rusty, then head boomers body at the bottom of the nearby lake and wrote a note saying how sorry he was about boomers death and decided him and his raider gang are just gonna go somewhere else but not to mention, he owns a his own Brutal Warden despite these just being notable stories, there are rumors of a blue super mutant and the children of Adam secret weapon also not to mention after the war, a few other modifications saw some use, especially a makeshift stock, so the weapon was easier to use and people realize they could also stick fusion cores into this weapon in fire at like an energy blaster those are some stories for another day so yeah, that is the legend and the history of the Brutal Warden and as in the words of rip and tear industries The story is an over but have to carve out the path til it’s done
