No offense, but I'd find this funnier if a really good artist and nice guy didn't just leave the site because some asshole commissioners compounded on his real life issues and troubles by calling him a scam artist and doing/saying other nasty things that were completely out of line. I've seen more than one really good artist get fed up with the trolls around here and call it quits, leaving for more peaceful pastures. It really sad the number of people around nowadays who are capable of such behavior, and the number of others who see nothing wrong with it.

People don't tend to get angry at an artist in droves without GOOD reason.

It's amazing what a handful of persistent trolls can do. An announcement of "I will no longer be doing commissions; I will finsih what I can and refund the rest" turned into "I am quiting the site and never coming back". While the few trolls weren't the primary reason, they were a catalyst. The artists I've seen it happen to I can say with confidence did not deserve it.

How is offering a refund scamming someone? If he kept the money and didn't do the work, that's a scam. Being unable to support yourself through commission and therefore returning the money of every commissioner who's work has not been started is not a scam, but an honest refund.

And the person who supposedly 'ran them off' the site hasn't been refunded yet. Saying you're going to refund people is not the same as actually doing it.

Oh for crying it loud, it hasn't been that long since he made the announcement. So he fell through on deadlines, who hasn't? And now that he hasn't given all the refunds quickly enough for all of you (there were a lot of commissions that he hadn't finished/started yet), he's officially a scam artist? Maybe, just maybe, there actually are things more important and time pressing in his life? Because, you know, people are perfect, and if an imperfection happens, he must be trying to cheat you.

And you do realize he wasn't the one nameing names right? Oh right, anyone who did name someone, as you showed, must have been collaberating with him. He must have told them to name names so that he'd look like the victim. Right, gotcha.

And about the part where he's left people hanging on an old name before?

Which part? The first part they had an account called 'Mondeis' here before a year ago, and quit the site saying they were done with furry art and left several people without completed work?

Or the second part where the person telling everyone to attack the owed commissioner is the person Vengisun has the collaborative work account 'Emberdusk' with?

This is not the first time they've pulled something like this.

As to Emberdusk, again, working together doesn't mean he told the person to name anyone. As to Mondeis...I only vaguely remember that name, and never followed it, so I am unfamiliar with what happened there. However, it seems we're at an impasse, and it would appear you are more knowledgable about past events on the site than I am, so I believe it best we leave off here. You have your thoughts on the matter, I have mine, and it seems unlikely either of us will change our standpoints. And so I bid you adiue, and to each their own.

And the person naming names was Stellary. THE PERSON THEY HAVE THE COLLAB ACCOUNT EMBERDUSK WITH! Come on, dude! You're sticking up for this person and you don't even know who they had the collab account with?

So because they had a collab account, he's accountable for all of the other persons actions? Again, associaton does not equal collaberation (of a non-art variety) and plots. That would mean your in association, and agreement, with all the people you've ever worked with, by that logic. Man, the nasty things you must be a part of because you've had a proffessional relationship with them.

Also, I should point out the artist you're defending was formerly known as 'Mondeis'. About a year ago they claimed they were quitting furry art, and left the site with commissions owed.

And, I'm pretty sure I know who you're talking about. As my disgust over said situation partially inspired this comic.

You types always aggravate me. You go on and on about the poor, misunderstood artist and say everyone else has no idea what they're talking about when you, yourself are taking the artist's word as gospel. Artists are humans, and humans are more than capable of lying or spinning the truth in their favor. Multiple people have come forward -- in the journal the artist has now DELETED, even -- saying they've had trouble with them even before what the artist says happened to them a week ago.

Multiple people don't just decide to get together and make up lies about someone they paid money to for no reason. If they paid money to the person, chances are pretty good they liked their work and were a fan of them.

And PS: I have no sympathy for a duo who tell people to go and 'harass' someone who just wanted what they were promised by a deadline. A deadline the artist agreed to.
