today im finally introducing my kiwi character! well, technically re-introducing. back when i first was joining the object show community, i just sketched various object designs, seeing which ones would stick, which of course happened to be woolly. a kiwifruit was also one of them, but for over 2 years i just forgot about it until i started drawing it in various sketches since about a year ago, so now its about time i bring them to this account! i was actually meaning to introduce her in my china picture, but i just forgot, woops
this picture takes place in sunview town, a small neighbourhood in ho chi minh city, vietnam! ive been finding southeast asia pretty interesting lately, so i wanted to draw something in vietnam! im pretty sure the actual building is some sort of hotel. some sort of east asian country was my intention since thats where the fruit comes from. yep, kiwis are apparently not from new zealand! well, the fruit anyway
i actually went out of my way to try to find something that takes place at night this time since ive only done one so far. though the problem with that is that its really hard to find a night time screenshot if youre going out of your way try to find one. when people post these image spheres on google maps, they usually want to show off some sort of building or something, and obviously day time would be better than night time to do that
this picture was actually originally taken in a different angle! i think ill post the unfinished WIP in scraps in a day or two. i decided to change it because the original felt like it had too much open space
by the time i upload this, it will actually barely be on my birthday, but in reality this is basically the last thing i drew before i turn 21 today!
