I really do want to get back into writing Modplug music again, because other projects of mine have taken me away from it for so long. The truth is, over the last year I've started heaps of songs, but haven't finished more than a couple, and the rest of the results have just been sitting around for ages. So I wanted to showcase a few of the more substantial ones in the hope that that would inspire me to develop them further - it worked last time!
These are:
0:00 - Dream of Albion (Modplug version)
0:56 - Sign of the Star
1:35 - The Secrets of an Island (at least, that's what it might be called. I like the name for it, but I inadvertently copied it from Six Magics. Currently it's eleven minutes long and I feel I've barely started, so a 45-second scrap can't really show much of it)
2:14 - Enter the Labyrinth
3:05 - Savior's Return
3:46 - Signal from the Sky
4:32 - The Poison Skies (which might, depending on a few factors, become part of a completely different project altogether!)
I hadn't realized, when I started putting this scraps file together this evening, that I nearly had an entire album's worth of half-finished material already.

Well then clearly it's a Symphony X song and the only course of action is to give it the most over-the-top pretentious title you can manage.

Dare I ask if this is what I think it is? :) If so, I love that title for it so much that now I almost want to go back and use it myself somewhere, and even without knowing the lyrics, the... tone, I guess? The atmosphere created by the relative speed and sound and everything. I fail at finding the words, but just know that whatever it is, I really like the balance between the catchy amiga metal sound and (if I'm not being way, way too presumptuous here!) appropriateness for the setting.

"A Vision from the Illusive Anathaeum: Chapter I, Verses 1-17"
And yes, you certainly saw that coming a mile away :) I had put it together a long time ago, but I've still pretty much only got that scrap of it - I was going to show you directly when I had more, but having you pick up on the pace and tone as good without it even being explicitly mentioned is somehow even better! I'll have to show you more of it when we're both next on - I'd love to bring this to life with you.

Just make sure each verse has its own uniquely excessive title (and feel free to also split one or two of them into sub-verses and title those, too) and you're just about there!
And I anxiously await seeing you online again, then. :)

Oh, also, it really is fantastic to see you getting back into the Modplug sound--even to this day Unreality is easily my favorite effort of yours and at least relatively up there as far as good albums in general, and if you wanted to have any sort of chance at all at following that, this would be the way to do it. I definitely like what I hear so far!
