I was looking back at a sketch I did of my own concept of a werewolf xenomorph as well as another sketch of a facehugger-like spider creature. While I initially liked those before, I decided to update them both while bouncing ideas of these two and how they’d work in the Alien universe. Its no secret that I love Lycans/Werewolves in media. So, the idea of a facehugger implanting a chestburster in such a large beast is something that's been speculated and conceptualized by many. However, there are two issues with this. A) The facehugger would probably be too small for such a large creature unless they were in human form, and their strength and aggression would either kill it or the acidic blood it spews out would kill them. They’ll need to be alive for the implantation to happen. B) The existence of a werewolf in an Alien film would need to be thought out well considering there are various different versions of lycanthropes, and they can only exist in a spin-off film.
I think it would be better to have the werewolves be extraterrestrial instead of on earth. Basically, the idea is that on another planet, probably far from earth, there are a race of human-esque people, whom are probably as tall as Engineers (and could potentially be based off of them) that can shift into their powerful lycan form. They probably live in either caves or castle-like structures, like a middle-age era. Secondly, the facehugger in question would either be an evolved version of the normal one or, and probably better, an entirely new one could be created, specifically for larger creatures.
Thats where the Cephalopod comes in. It's basically a squid/octopus-like facehugger. Maybe it was an experiment in using Pathogens on squids and octopus to create it. Either way, it would definitely be larger, stronger, and more durable. How it attracts a larger host could be some kind of sound, like a low tone, or a scent that draws them in. The Cephalopod will likely be burrowed in the ground, with the main body sticking out like a pod or flower. As the potential host, or in this case a lycan, approaches and stares at the small organism, it will disperse some kind of gas that'll knock them out and leave them in a vulnerable state. The Cephalopod will then wiggle out of the ground, using its tendrils to walk over and will insert the tube or phallus in it’s mouth (Honestly, it could very well use any available orifice but I digress). The embryo/pathogen it implants will infect the lycan’s bodies while breaking down their genetic materials, centering in their abdomen instead of the chest. Due to lycans probably having a stronger immune system or so, they’ll probably won’t experience immediate illness. However, over time, as the organism develops inside them, their bellies will begin to bulge out. The lycan in question will begin to feel pain, discomfort, and fatigue. Near development, it’ll run out into the forest and will force shift into their lycan form to accommodate the size of the new creature. When it's fully developed into a juvenile Xenomorph, they'll burst out of their stomachs, killing the host.
The result Is a lycan/Xenomorph that would take on the fleshy/muscular traits of the lycan but retain their iconic xenomorph dome and black parts. I also decided to not give them tails since a few iterations of lycanthropes show them without it. Their inner jaw is also changed to a slimy green tongue with a altered jaw. This xenomorph type would display both strength, speed, and aggression like that of the Runner from Alien3 while having their tongue used to drain the pathogen off of the host’s body like with the Offspring from Romulus.
To expand a little more, similar in Prometheus how David infecting Holloway with the black goo, I think the infected lycan would suffer similar side effects. The lycan in question would begin to experience heightened arousal and libido, and would likely engage in various sexual relations with other lycans, be it male or female, unknowingly passing along their infected sperm into others. If with another male lycan, they’ll just produce a single juvenile in their stomachs. But with a female lycan, they will become pregnant with offsprings in their now infected womb, ultimately, and lethally, birthing out more juveniles similarly in AVP: Requiem.
I think the new designs are much better, and the concept of how the Cephalopod can slowly infect a mass to produce dangerous creatures is an interesting idea. Plus, the notion that the Engineers made other civilizations other than humans could allow explorations of different planets with their own race of people and culture, even structures left by the engineers themselves or pathogens.

I can't lie, all of this is really cool! From the inspirations from the different Alien movies to just the creativity of using Werewolf films to decide how the Cephalopod actually goes about doing this. I am a very big fan of werewolves(as well as other cryptids) and Xenomorphs, and just seeing this just scratches that fascinating itch in me. Wherever you go with this, know that that this is awesome!
P.S. Kinda want to see Bellybursters myself, they're odd but a cool concept.

And I will say, I did like the non-lethal way the Weremorph(Xeno-Wolf?) of the first version because I do kinda like safe bursting or messy safe bursting myself, but that's my thought on it. Instead of it being painful it's pleasant and a bit arousing, and the werewolf/xenomorph is friendly with the Lycan Host. I really like that idea and I think it's cool~
