I think one of my favorite things about your art is how you play with and use color. The way you use pencils over markers...I've tried SO MANY TIMES and am always 100% dissatisfied. But when I see the way you do it, I know it's not the fact that pencils look bad over markers, but I just can't do it right.
Same with shading gray-on-white. I always make shit look dirty when I do it. You make it look so soft and fluffy.

What markers do you use? I find this technique only works well with prisma/copics. Then layer prisma pencils on top, with lots of attention to darkers tones then the marker itself and white for highlights.
With the grey-shading.. I use a primsa pencil that is slightly tinted blue for most of the shading, then go darker and darker until I'm just just a BIT of black for the darkest highlights. The blue-ish tinted pencil can be used to sort of 'smooth' out the black pencil too by coloring over it..
Derp - I dunno, works for me - I wish I had skillz with jsut pencil crayons like you though. Whenever I use them without marker it just looks dull and one-dimensional.
