Since this year's theme was Cyberpunk themed I decided to draw off a film that was in kind of in the vein of it which was The Fifth Element. Hence why the hubby and mine's look like the main characters from it XD Even drew in some "Multipasses" to make it stand out.
The other two have a story behind them. Last Fall, I found out that my local Barnes and Noble was holding a meet up for the re-release of the Graphic Novel of Warriors which is following Arc 1 (the one most of people remember) and decided to go even with my hubby thinking it might be just young kids at it.
Um. Kinda, but there was also some adult fans XD
Enter the Scourge Badge. This is for my friend I made at that at that meet up who was cosplaying as a Human form of Scourge who is a HUGE fan for Scourge. I ran into them and their partner who is a Warriors fan supporter, not as into the books as their partner but supports and understands in a way, like my hubby with me XD We also met another couple there and the wife was cosplaying as her Warrior OC. Freaking amazing fursuit!
We later found out once the event wrapped up we were all semi local to one another in SC. I'll spare locations for privacy reasons.
We even found out we're all HUGE NERDS AND FURRIES!

Scourge and I kept talking now and again after friending them via the Warriors fan page on Facebook lol and even on Instagram.
Fast forward to this Spring when it came up again for Vol. 2 and we found out before this with talking we were all going to FWA this year.
And since I had decided "I need to make my new friends badges to just surprise them!" and went about doodling up the bottom ones.
Scourge is for pro_bookitty is on Instagram who also has other fursuits but Scourge worked so they could wear it when cosplaying as Scourge XD
The other is their partner hannibalthefashionablecannibal on Instagram (don't know if either of them are on here) and they have a kind of Clown Deer fursona that I could not find any ref sheet for so I based the doodle off a badge that Scourge had made for them the year prior when they were Suiting.
Fast forward to FWA, it was around Friday that we had gotten into Dealer's Den, and then left to catch Opening Ceremonies or something when we caught them in line BRIEFLY to jokingly toss the badges at them XD Scourge's partner was rather surprised I had them printed and laminated and hole punched since I had posted this on my Facebook just before the Con because I couldn't hold onto the surprise any longer! I had to show it off!
I'm happy to say they appreciated the badges ^^
This next year is a kind of haunted/spooky Hotel/Found Footage/Analog Horror vibe so I'm gonna do one of my hubby and mine's fursonas as a Maid and Bell Hop with a makeshift spiral in between our badges as a nod to Twilight Zone which has been brought up in the Discord as a way to describe the next year's theme.
The hope is that
and a friend of theirs will be in attendance with them at the Con next year with us and if so, I will make sure they have fursona badges too. I can't leave you guys hanging like that!
