Gracopteryx (from the Latin “gracilis” - graceful, “pteryx” - wing) are rare magical creatures born from so-called ash eggs. Still blind, they are drawn to a person whose soul they feel is their own. Their connection with the owner arises from the first moments of life - deep, instinctive and invisible.
Gracopteryx are extremely sensitive to human emotions, intentions, and states. They pick up on the slightest changes, reacting faster than the person is aware of them. They can be reassuring or become an alarm signal when something is going wrong.
In magical practices, they are valued as familiars and companions. They are not obeyed, but chosen - the connection with them is based on trust and reciprocity. And although some try to breed Gracopteryx as pets, they do not reveal themselves to those they do not recognize.

Aschel is Leto's faithful companion. In size, she resembles a large parrot, and in character resembles a wild cat.
