Okay, so at Scotiacon I commissioned Booshie to draw Sir Fardon in flight. The idea we went with was of him doing a routine patrol in what is called the Disputed Territories.
These are, as the name implies, claimed by both Taria and Lord Thurr's realm and probably a couple of other factions besides. This area serves as a buffer between Thurr and Varl's realms.

The grasslands are often used as lairs by dragons, typically neutrals who don't really want to be ruled by either side, exiles, travellers and the occasional outlaw. They dig out caves to live in and furnish them, usually with solar arrays for power, air scrubbers and suchlike.

One of Sir Fardon's duties is to monitor the known dragon lairs close to the Tarian border and check that the occupants are safe from dragonslayers. We see him here doing one such patrol.
