I've been into Wings of Fire lately and I HAD TO make a custom tribe so here's my take on a hypothetical ThunderWing tribe.

THUNDERWINGS
No other tribe knows about their existence yet. Very rarely, other dragons stumble across their kingdom but the guards take them down to make sure no one finds out about their existence before they show themselves to the world. Despite living isolated from the outside world, they are aware of everything going on there. They are aware of the existence and cultures of other tribes even though no tribe knows about them.
They are lightning based dragons with conductive scales. Their scales are made of a metallic material that mostly behaves like steel. Their horns and spines are also made of this material. They have natural armor on their backs, tails, legs and heads made of the same material. The end of their tail is sharp and serves as a natural weapon.
——————————————————————————
APPEARANCE
Their scales are usually colored in the shades of gray, although in some rare cases some ThunderWings' scales can have a slight blue tint. They can have blue, black, white or gray under scales. Their sclera is black and their pupils can be blue, yellow, orange or white.
They get lichtenberg scars under their wings as they get struck by lightning throughout their lives. The more a ThunderWing gets struck by lightning, the more lichtenberg scars it gets. The older ones usually have more scars and some even have scars all over their body. Every ThunderWing's lichtenberg figure scar is unique.
ThunderWings' wings are large like those of SkyWings', even though it doesn't seem like that in the picture because I had to scale them down. The back of their wings are reflective.
——————————————————————————
ABILITIES
Shooting lightning bolts — ThunderWings can shoot lightning bolts out of their mouths as long as they are inside of a storm or have enough lightning stored in their scales. The spines on their back channel the lightning to their horns and once the lightning reaches their horns, they can use their lightning abilities.
Storing lightning — ThunderWings can store lightning in their scales and channel it to their horns later on, even when they are not inside of a storm. It's dangerous for other creatures, including other tribes to touch them when their scales are charged. MudWings, however, can touch them safely.
Communicating via electric signals — This ability requires the least amount of energy.
Safely flying through storms — duh.
Staying in the air for long periods of time without getting tired — Due to living high up in the air, they have adapted to staying in the air for long periods of time. They can fly longer than other tribes can.
Forming force fields — Elderly Thunderclaws can form weak lightning fields to deflect small projectiles like rocks and arrows. They can't deflect fire, venom and ice attacks of other dragons.
Loud roars — Their roars are louder than those of other dragons, sounding like thunder. It doesn't mean any serious harm for any dragons, it's only an intimidation method. Although it is extra irritating for SandWings, since they have better hearing compared to other tribes (as far as I know).
Healing — They can heal by eating metals like iron, copper and gold.
——————————————————————————
WEAKNESSES
Soil — They are unable to use any of their lightning abilities when they're making physical contact with soil or mud (Because you know, "Earth devours lightning"). They prefer to not touch the ground.
Water — Their abilities are uncontrollable when they are in water or are wet. They don't really use their abilities in water and they make sure their scales are not charged when they go hunting for eels.
Overcharging — If they try to store too much lightning, they can hurt themselves.
Underground — They're not very good in underground conditions and cramped spaces because of their large wings.
Heat — Their scales are highly conductive. Because of that, they feel heat better than any other dragon, which means hot weather can be dangerous for them. Their scales can easily conduct the heat to their skin.
Their own wings — It is quite literally impossible for them to fly quietly, since every one of their wing beats sounds like a metal sheet rattling loudly.
——————————————————————————
DIET
Scrap metal. Often pure ones like copper, iron and aluminum. They need to consume these in order to keep their scales healthy and repair their them when they're damaged. Gold is more of a luxurious food, but those who tried it says that it tastes awful.
Electric eels.
——————————————————————————
POSSIBLE DEFORMATIONS
TOO LONG spines — If a dragonet hatches with abnormally long spines, it would be dangerous for it to use any lightning abilities as it could accidentally overcharge its scales without noticing.
Too short spines — If a dragonet hatches with abnormally short spines, it would be extra difficult for it to use its lightning abilities.
Thin armor — If a dragonet hatches with thin armor, it would be more vulnerable to physical damage.
Blunt tail blade — If a dragonet hatches with a blunt tail blade, it wouldn't be able to use its tail to cut things.
====================================
THE THUNDER KINGDOM
The Thunder Kingdom is up in the stormy clouds, in a certain storm called Eistruna that is between the continents Pyrrhia and Pantala. Their kingdom isn't stationary. Their castles and nests float in the air and just like the kingdom itself, they move with the storm Eistruna. An animus dragon who was also a priest once enchanted these structures centuries ago and made them able to float in the air, way before the Scorching. He also enchanted the storm so that it would never die out.
Their houses, spires, castles and the Thunder Palace are made of stone and steel. Their kingdom is illuminated by light bulbs instead of traditional lanterns and torches.
The kingdom is currently ruled by King Current. The king needs to discuss his decisions with the council to ensure that his subjects are okay with them. The king also needs to ask the priests of his kingdom if he's crossing any religious lines.
ThunderWings believe in the Greater Protector (the clouds). They believe that their king is chosen by the Greater Protector (clouds), so there's not really a royal family. If the king does something against the Supreme Law, he is executed by the Chief Justice (Who is an elderly and blind ThunderWing named Justice) himself.
Their prison cells for ThunderWing prisoners are made of hard rocks and have piles of dirt in them. The cells are very small, since ThunderWings are not good in cramped spaces. The cells for dragons from other tribes have stone floors and electrified & heat resistant steel bars and ceilings. They use the non-ThunderWing prisoners to learn about the things happening in the outside world and execute them when they're done with them.
They have a group called "Followers of Clouds". Every ThunderWing is considered to be a follower of the Greater Protector (the clouds). One dragon from each tribe of Pyrrhia and Pantala is a part of this group/organization too and they try to spread the idea of worshipping the Greater Protector. ThunderWings' plan is to spread their religion and then showing themselves to the world and using their lightning abilities to make other tribes believe ThunderWings are some sort of divine force or a blessed race, so that they can rule the world. This has been their genius plan for centuries though, clouds know when they will make it become reality...

BACKSTORY OF THUNDERWINGS
Centuries ago, a scavenger saw two ThunderWings in action. That was the only time someone has ever seen them. Scavengers worshipped them for years. They made paintings of them, wrote stories and poems about them, made sculptures of them. But then the Scorching happened and all of the evidence to their existence was destroyed.

ABOUT THUNDERWING LIFE
Wars — Although they are not a part of any wars, they take sides in them. They strike the armies of the side they're not on with lightning and since no one knows about some lightning breathing dragon, the other tribes think it's some sort of a curse or a blessing, or a coincidence.
Hunting — To avoid getting caught when hunting on land, they cover themselves in dirt. That makes their shiny metallic scales look more rocky and matte, letting them camouflage with the rocky terrain. However, they can't use any of their lightning abilities when they're camouflaged since they are covered in dirt. They can't use their lightning abilities in water either, so they use their tails, talons and teeth like other animals.
Names — Their names are often electricity, storm or weapon related. For example: Sword, Spear, Axe, Knife, Dagger, Tesla (yes they invented tesla coils), Shock, Bolt, Thunder, Strike
Hatching — Their eggs need to be struck by lightning in order to hatch when they're fully developed. They put lightning rods on their eggs to make the hatching easier.
Education — The dragonets are primarily taught fighting and blacksmithing. Secondarily they're taught history, science and religion. The tribe has mastered blacksmithing thanks to this education system.
