The way I see it Death seems like someone who needs a hobby to deal with the stress of his job.
(See cats who don't show regard for their lives and other coffin cheaters.]
So why not do a little wrestling/luchador fighting to work off some stress while play up his role some in another way. Sides with him in the ring no one has to worry about dying. He's the one who decides when it happens, here he is just giving them a small peek of what would happen if they caught him in a bad mood.
