Chrono Cross: Scars of Time 時の傷痕
Chrono Cross Piano Cover Compendium
I have spent the past three days with my piano book of Chrono Cross, my score tablet, and some pens and pencils. I took some time off from work, due to the fact I was working 70 to 90 hour work weeks.... so i am tired.
This is my very own medley of Chrono Cross: Scars of Time. More or less a piano cover, it is manipulated into my playing style of surprise, intense articulation, and leitmotifs.
Yasunori Mitsuda wrote this piece, so my goal was to keep his style intact and the sounds of Tokuyama, which surprisingly is where we both grew up. He is older of course and i never knew him, but it would be fun to meet him. He is the major reason I kept playing the piano and dove head first into music, Nobuo Uematsu was a close second.... sorry video game music nerds (Koji Kondo 3rd, Noriyuki Iwadare 4th). I also hope that my release of this song tomorrow night at my next playing gig goes well.

most people dont look at Chrono Cross as a great game, mind you, it is a from SquareSoft. It was released around the same time Final Fantasy IX, so a lot of its fame was cut short. I fortunately own BOTH and adore BOTH as my two favorite soundtracks, Chrono Cross and FF IX.
