Gus couldn't quite understand how it all got so flipped around. He was dating such a cute, chubby collie — often teasingly rubbing the collie's potbelly till the dog blushed — but now? The once lean and fit Leonberger had become the largest of the two not just in height, but in width. His belly shifted his center of gravity and got in the way when he walked, often leaving him panting and out of breath for minutes at a time.
It wasn't supposed to be this way. No matter what he did, it seemed like his plans to fatten his boyfriend always went askew. Instead, he was the one with a few more pounds caked onto his hips day after day. It just didn't make sense. Was he cursed? Unlucky?
Either way, it always seemed like he couldn't keep his paws out of the cookie jar that his boyfriend Curt liked to joke about. His boyfriend couldn't help but remind him of how out of shape he was with every grope and shake. Even now as the collie measured the leonberger's waist, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed that the measuring tape — a ritual these days — didn't even come close around the circumference of the dog's dampered-brown stomach.
"This thing isn't even close to fitting!" No kidding....

I've always wanted to write a small story to go along with this image because I really like how it came out. There should be more fat Gus honestly >//w//<
