Introduced in 1994, M4A1 is extensively by US Armed Forces, with decisions to largely replace the M16 rifle. The M4A1 has undergone over 90 modifications to improve the weapon's ergonomics and modularity, including: the M4A1, which strengthened the barrel and removed the burst-fire option; the SOPMOD, an accessory kit containing optical attachments, and the under barrel M203 grenade launcher.
M4A1 had a removing detachable rail-mounted carrying handle that can fitted with many accessories such as backup rear iron sight, night vision device, suppressors, laser sights, telescopic sights, red dot sights, holographic sights, bipods, M203 or M320 Grenade Launcher, foregrip, and M26-MASS (Modular Accessory Shotgun System). Anything else Compatible with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail.
Replacing from CAR-15 to M4/M4A1 with M203 in the mid-late 1990's (Carrying Handle). Until now adding any optics, lasers, foregrips, and etc., and also M203 has been added for secondary firepower (Rail Interface System).
