An old “colour palette challenge” piece of three of my personal comfort characters, Dirk, Nana and Ajax.
I am currently working on trying to find (or draw anew) a good reference for each of them for my Art Fight profile (to be uploaded soon), but unfortunately, I have lost far too many old works since swapping devices…



Dirk is a black dog, or a church grim.
Nana is a nekomata.
And Ajax is a cockatrice. Though all his “mythical” traits are hidden under his jacket and blindfold.

A large majority of my characters—now and in the past—are simply designs based off of supernatural or mythical creatures. I mean, it is all so fascinating, isn’t it?
