neat ponderings, these
(even though I'm not a Minecrafter, I enjoyed reading them)
something occurred to me while reading:
since damage to the jewels causes scars/markings on future rebirths,
does that mean a Creeperborn who has given jewel slivers to make l'ilcreepies
would gain such markings as a symbol of their procreative success?
or is there perhaps a healing of the jewel when it's used in this particular way
(and thus, no new markings or scars)?

So basically this means I can just murder a creeperborn and then continually camp their crystal and kill them whenever they respawn and harvest their gunpowder continually? Gather up a bunch of creeperborn crystals and dump them in an obsidian tomb filled with water so they drown shortly after regenerating and harvest their gunpowder? Stick it in a cliff so they fall to their deaths repeatedly after spawning then harvesting their gunpowder? Scratching up the crystal so they regenerate with deep mortal wounds and bleed to death shortly after spawning and then harvesting their gunpowder? Put a bunch of crystals in an obsidian cell so they're forced to eat each other for food and then harvest the gunpowder? Put the crystal above a tnt cannon to use them as live ammunition to fire at cliffs for fun and hope someone harvests the gunpowder?
Cus if so, I like these creepers.
