Hehe, well I'm sorry about the first, but the second one I easily have sold these for $5 more with a couple less details. It's just ref sheets have a LOT of time that goes into them. It is 3 poses that each have to be drawn to scale with the others. Then details have to be worked out and all that. Basically, I feel like I loose money making them, but as it's a favorite item I still carry it.

I got into these websites because art was a hobby, but now my main source of income because there's nothing else available in my area. So it is my job. I treat it as such.

Yeah, That's not going to do you much good sadly. Even artists that get around 80$ are still not able to survive off this alone. Most people that do it have a main bread winner as a partner. Same story for writers (me) right now too.
not that it would KILL you to take a request now and then.

Well good thing that I'm going to school full time so that I can get a great job later. Besides, I'm not living where I am forever-actually grad school will be a different state entirely. But in the meantime, I'm doing fine drawing, writing (a story that has two publishers fighting over it), and doing odd jobs when I can. ^^ I never go hungry or homeless.

And excuse me if all of this is if you are baaaaaaaaawing because you want something for free. I do give free stuff on occasion (See the most recent http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6041067/ ) but all of those people are actually civil to me.

Well, you don't have to go into this market, and you definitely don't have to try to run people out of this market-especially if you're a writer as I'm no competition in the commissioned written piece market. I know the economy is bad now, but why is it that so many of us artists still get commissioned even now?

I know a publisher's son (best friends with the girlfriend) and am friends with someone who's just starting up a publishing company by himself. Publishing books right now is that you have to know someone to get your name into the ranks of published writers. ^^ Just a tip~
