So like many people. I had an intense fear of bees growing up. I had been stung at least three different times, if I can remember, and I'm sure they were more wasp stings instead of bees, but I wouldn't have noticed the difference. Anytime I saw wasps, honeybees, or even a bumblebee flying around me, I was ready to just run into the house and not want to come out all day. Despite any rational reasoning my parents would present to me that they wouldn't bother me, I DID NOT WANT TO GET STUNG AGAIN!
Today, though, I love Bees! 🐝
I mean, I always liked the aesthetic of bees and how they were presented in media. Bee Movie or Honey Nut Cheerios. The way they make honey, their black and yellow stripes, and how fuzzy they look. Compared to other insects, they can actually be pretty cute. Yeah, got to love 'em.
(Wasps still freak me out though, and they're not as cute as bees).

I still have an intense fear of bees. I'm very phobic of them, like they're probably the thing I fear the most. I got stung once on the swing as a kid in the arm, then anytime after that, I'd always be so jumpy and freak out if one got close to me. I'm not that jumpy anymore around them, but they do make me freeze up a little, to where I do just want to get away from them.
I was told the same advice, if I left them alone, they'd leave me alone. Wasps also freak me out, they're also meaner than bees, at the non-killer bee variety.
