Such a lovely looking dish and seriously sensational from the kitchens of
kawakoi
Just a little recipe I do quite often for dinner. Paired with standard mashed potatoes and garlic broccoli 1. Also I was messing around with plating cuz I was bored haha.
BBQ Hoisin Pork Chops
2 Pork Loin Chops
1/4 c. Red Wine
4.5 oz. Hoisin
1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 Tbsp Honey
TT Chinese Fivespice
TT Salt
TT Pepper
1. Season the chops with the fivespice, salt, and pepper.
2. In a medium sautépan, sear the porkchops. Cook until its internal temperature is 130 degrees if you like medium pork, if you want it well done, cook till the internal temp is 150 degrees.
3. Remove chops and set aside. Deglaze the pan with the wine using a wooden spoon to scrape up the fond 2.
4. Add the hoisin, oyster sauce, and honey. Reduce till gravy consistency.
5. Once the sauce comes together, add the chops back to the pan and coat with the hoisin reduction.
6. Plate and enjoy!
Notes:
1. Broccoli is blanched until 3/4 done and then shocked in ice water. Sauté in olive oil with garlic and shallots. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Fond is the little brown bits that stick to the pan as you cook.
