Still just a concept. I'm not sure I have the drive, but I also can't help but feel like I'm in somewhat of a crisis. I feel like I've wasted my life, and I just want to make something I can sell. The problem is that I have so many ideas and things I want to see, and I can't possibly make all of them. It gives me a "why me?" feeling. Everyone says "if you want something, make it yourself." But why does it have to be me? Why can't other people exist to make the idea? And, again, I have tons of ideas I want to see made, and I just don't know which ones to stick to. I'm still working on a book, and it's currently in the rough draft/proof reading phase, but even with some good ideas, I just don't feel confident in it. There's also that comic I was working on that I'm struggling to try and finish, especially with Art Fight coming up. Plus, I also have other things I want to make, including giving some of the EQWs their own games, maybe some simple sprite hacks of popular games, but with Pokemon or anthros or Dragon Quest monsters or something. But, I think, what really makes me feel ashamed of myself is that my family's had to spend a ton of money on our car reccently and my mom is not making the money my dad wants her to, and it makes me ashamed to not be making enough money myself to help out. There's so many factors to things.
Regarding this project, I've never made a boxing game, and it's kinda daunting just thinking about programming it. It's one of those things I just really want to see. I really want to see someone, ANYONE finish an anthro-starring boxing game. Several others have started on projects, but NO ONE has ever actually finished one. Ultimately, for me, it will come down to how badly I want it and if I really feel invested in the project, and I'm just... not sure. All I have so far are a few sketches, and that's it. I've got ideas, but those mean nothing if they aren't put into coding, and I'm just not sure if THIS is the project I want to work on
But, I suppose I could show off some back concepts, since I don't know if I want an 8-bit Punch-Out or a Super Punch-Out style asthetic, though I think 8-bit might be easier to sprite. Also doodled a couple of antagonists: a scrawny rooster and a standard looking squirrel.
