I found this Sphinx moth outside my door yesterday.
does anyone know what kind of sphinx moth it is?

Ich wohn auch in NRW besser gesagt im Ruhrpott, ich kann nur sagen das ich mich erschreckt habe und dann so eine Monster Motte an meiner Wand war, dannach weiß ich nur das ich rausgerannt bin und hab das Vieh durchs Fenster verscheucht.

This is a Pandoras Sphinx, (Eumorpha pandorus) and a lovely image at that. :)

Last time I saw one was in Virginia while getting gas on a road trip. It was sleeping just happily on the side of a gas pump. :P
