He seems very determined to catch these persons. And he doesn't seem to mind how or who is needed to accomplish that. I do feel bad for Roberto, he is put in a bad situation because of this, should he let Buck Dad know, he'd have betrayed Matthew's confidence, and if he doesn't, we all know buck dad will make his life harder. We'll have to wait and see how this pans out.
If the dad was a proper lawyer he would say that first of all the criminal law side must be done before anyone gets sued.
So if Roberto knew about who was it, the first thing to do would be to report it to the police, the state prosecutor will then have an investigation and that either leads to a conviction and a trial or to nothing.
Either way this has to be sorted out first until the civil law side should be taken.

Fuck, I'm so confused. I don't know who to root for here. ๐ฉ
- On the one hand, Theo is invading his son's privacy.
- On the other hand, he's right. That horse thug deserves, at the very least, a legal scare. Sure, Matthew threw the first punch but the horse, together with his friends, ganged up on Matthew and put him in the hospital.
- On the other other hand, it's ultimately Matthew's choice to sue the horse or not, and Theo is overstepping.
- On the other other other hand, Matthew doesn't seem to be exactly the best at making sound decisions, so maybe his dad overstepping is the right play here.
Also, call me biased but... buff daddies in neckties and suspenders acting all commanding and shit. ๐๐ฆ

oh, there is no, "have finally" โ you've been แชIแฏIแชIแแ YOแแ แแดแฉแชแดแีแผIแญ, at times, perhaps, for a decade now
while, it is true, 21-year-old punks don't possess foresight..
..the advice / advisory, that roberto could, still, talk this out with matthew, still applies
if claude had engaged in a fair fight and / or, simply tit-for-tatted matthew in equal measure, then this wouldn't even be a question for me
yet (as you, yourself, are aware, douglas), that's not what transpired a few weeks ago โ was itยฟ
