Keiko was having some fun at the local fair with a few friends when they dared her to step into a tent where Tarot readings were being offered. "We'll even pay for your reading, but you have to stay for the whole thing. And no plugging your ears either." one of the had teased. Not seeing a choice she took the 1000 yen and entered the tent, placing the assorted coins in the wooden chest to the left of the entry flap. She instantly regretted her decision.

As if the sight of Valeria reading the cards without seeing them wasn't creepy enough, there was the reading itself. "The two of cups shows you to have been highly social and been the connective tissue of a friend group, but it's inverted, showing that the group is not as cohesive as it seems. Presently The Hanged Man appears. He is the rope you cut for yourself and are in the process of sewing your own destruction." Valeria paused as the card showing the future was revealed. A Nine of Swords. "And soon your deeds will come to cause you many a sleepless night. The insincere actions in your friend group along with your current actions that see you getting in over your head are going to come to light. Change now or your downfall is nigh!" she said with a dramatic flourish as the candles sputtered as if struggling against an unearthly wind.

Keiko swallowed hard to try and conceal her unease. "So um.... Let's say I believed this. What would I need to do to not wreck my life?"

Valeria smiled in response, fanning out the cards before her. "The cards will reveal all."
