Cool! I had similar experience with a color choice for an oc. I love those ''Eureka!'' moments we have in our art journey. Maybe doesn't happen often but when it does it is an innately satisfying and motivational boost.
I'm glad to see rarely seen creatures in furry fandom get more light. Especially Central and South American animals like tapirs [baby tapirs are sooooo cute!], capybaras, different types of anteaters, tamanduas, so many!
