It's been a long time coming for this lovely mother of Fuxion family to make her grand return! A big thanks to
donutsuu for bringing her back! If you like their work, consider checking them out on BlueSky or their other socials linked below! Valary was mostly perfect the way she was before, so not much different was changed about her, but those wings pop out more, don’t they? Almost like a certain other Phox we know…but regardless, I'm happy to have Val be realized!

Before she came to be, Valary was a mere thought - an idea - to an angelic Phox of royalty named Dieble, who was merely a soldier at the time to his homeland of Tunaldris, a snowy land inhabited by primarily angels. Dieble was young when he first met his wife to be, Limara, but there was an odd thing about his attraction to this odd woman - she was a Goodra. One adorned with odd stary markings along her slimy body and belonging to a recluse village far from Dieble’s kingdom. The two shared an odd relationship for a time, but when troubled by the thought of having a child to become heir to the throne - a responsibility thrust upon him by his own parents - a Pokemon rarely seen graced their presence with an offer. To turn Limara into a Delphox for the two to be compatible. The flame marked [REDACTED] simply aimed to help the odd couple in their pursuit of a child and Dieble accepted it without hesitation. While it proved successful later to have a child, Limara would fall ill shortly after Valary was born and perish as a result, the cause of this mysterious illness forever illuding both the father and daughter.
Throughout her life, Valary would be taught by many members of Dieble’s castle staff - his father included whenever he wasn’t busy researching the cause of his late wife’s illness - on how to be a proper woman in life. She is knowledgeable, but has a caring disposition for those around her. Perhaps to a naive extent, having almost fall for a few offhand scams from denizens of the town, but she was lucky to have her bodyguard with her whenever they ventured into town. A Samurott under the name of Virnious pledged his obsidian blade to Dieble long ago, swearing to keep him and his daughter safe from any who attempts to harm them. From time to time, however, Valary would visit small restaurant a female Lucario ran and would eventually gain her passion for cooking from. This Lucario was like a mother in young Valary’s eyes, seeing them as her idol. Valary had it easy as being the royal daughter in a well guarded land, but if only life remained that simple for her.
Years passed as the now fully grown Delphox had duties to uphold as Princess while her father remained deep in his studies, ever vexed by the illness, but also divulging his studies to something most unorthodox to her at the time. She missed the days she could have a time of peace, but she chose to spend that free time over at that restaurant she would occasionally sneak off to and either help the Lucario for the time run the place or take time to enjoy a book with a cup of tea and sweet bread. Things would change in her seemingly dull life when her father gave word that they held a demon captive in the castle dungeon, peaking her curiosity as to who they would have locked up down there when they rarely ever used that space. A demon by the name of Wiles was held prisoner for reasons that remained unclear at the time, but as she spent time eying this peculiar Zoroark, she saw how miserable he was in his holy cage, taking pity on him over time. She was taught how demons were the bane of their kingdom and angels as a whole, but was given hope that one day it may all change…and Wiles was going to be their key, her father alluded to her.
Valary kept an eye and ear out for Wiles, gathering what info she could on him and how he came to be captured by making frequent visits to him, being stern and straight while not letting her emotional side show. She had to be careful of her words around him alongside any emotions shown, fearing the captive demon would prey upon her emotions despite the position he was in. And yet, that never happened. While he was a bit rude to her, she would eventually discover that Wiles had a heart behind his rough demeanor, even seeing him shed tears upon discovering the agreement both of their fathers made. To trade Wiles’ life for that of a ceasefire and potential peace offering between the demons of Layer Pride and the kingdom. She couldn’t take seeing a man like Wiles be treated so harshly after learning so much about him, how little he mattered in life. It was almost ironic to her how both their fathers eventually cared so little of their children as they aged, looking back of the years of her father’s slow descent into his own little bit of madness. The night before his execution was to be made, she convinced the guards to give them space and snuck in an invigorating meal that would help the Zor regain his lost strength, comforting him in his time of sorrow and making a decision that would set their lives on a risky path, but one she had a feeling deep down would be to their benefit.
Valary had steadily grown tired of the life of royalty during the month Wiles was in captivity, even conversing this to Virnious and the Lucario from time to time. She was given some advice by them that would be to her benefit, to take small chances she gets to be normal. But on the day Wiles would be executed, she helped him escape and the two aimed to flee to a land she only knew through text: Nasurah. Their journey through the cold tundra wouldn’t be easy, but along this journey, the two were aided by an odd pair of faces: An anthro Dusk Lycanroc named Mary and a shiny Mew under the name [REDACTED], the latter of which she swore she heard their name somewhere in her life, but couldn’t put her finger on it. The demon and angel would bond alongside the other pair that journeyed with them, but through various circumstances, Mary and the Mew would separate from Valary and Wiles for them to make their way to Nasurah, her promising to meet with the other two again one day.
Just when they thought they fully escaped everything from her land, an ex-friend of Wiles ambushed the two in what they believed to be their hour of triumph. The fight wasn’t easy and Valary nearly perished if it weren’t the spirits of the forest giving their essence to Wiles to save her life. After Wiles delivered the final blow to his old friend, the two fled from the scene of the fight, choosing to hide away in a cave along the side of the mountain they climbed around, with a pond not too far from them. The two would take some time to settle in, but they made it official with one another: They would spend their lives out together in this shrouded land, finding whatever means to keep their lives peaceful.
Throughout the next couple of decades, the two started a family together. They would’ve had 3 total children if one had not been lost to them through a tragic accident, one that Valary still remembers to this day. Her old bodyguard had managed to find Valary and Wiles, but he looked distorted, covered in a dark variation of his usual shell armor and a malicious aura. He specifically aimed for Wiles, but in the middle of their fight, Virnious’ blade struck through Valary’s abdomen when bearing a child at the time. The former bodyguard snapped out of his drive to slay Wiles upon realizing the fatal mistake he made. While she did live from the incident, the child she carried didn’t. Since then, Valary hasn’t heard or seen Virnious as he fled from the two. She still considers Amber a miracle to her and Wiles, thinking she couldn’t bear a child again after such an incident. Her scar is kept well hidden under her fur she took years to grow out, making her look wild and unkempt, but it had to be done to avoid anyone knowing about that dark spot in her life.
She retained most of the knowledge and values she learned in her time back at home, passing some of them on to both Soul and Amber. She wanted them to live their lives as they see fit, even defending them from their protective father’s disagreement on certain decisions. Especially when it came to the friends they made throuhgout their lives, encountering the likes of the Prince of the Distortion World, a ghostly gunslinger, or even a hybrid from the city somewhat far from their home. She can barely believe the various people living althroughout this vast land, knowing there is far more to the world than what her snowy kingdom back home could ever show, but she still misses those who she left behind. Maybe one day, she’ll see her former Lucario friend who taught her so well, but considering how long it’s been, she holds doubts they’re still around to this day. But there is one person she knows in this land after a chance encounter shortly after she and Wiles came to the land. Kuya, a Reshiram who runs both the city of Nasurah and the forest governing it. Had it not been for these two meeting, the runaway couple wouldn’t have survived the way they have been to this day. While it has been kept a secret from others, a sparring match among friends brought this bond to light. To her, it was odd to know another Legendary as a companion, even if they’re more under a contractual bond than anything else. But in spite of everything she’s been through, the Angelic Phox couldn’t be happier to have this life with so many faces to be around.
Although, peace won’t remain around for long as Valary found her son making contact with her father, who was disguised as a Clefable at the time. She managed to break whatever trance her son was in, snapping the two out of the mindscape they were in. Dieble would be overcome with emotion, seeing his daughter was still alive all this time, but Valary found it odd how her father found them in this land. He begged her to come home, but she remained adamant in her life’s choice. In this moment, Valary had awakened to a power she knows little of, her once beautiful white wings becoming veiled in a black and crimson starry nebula of sorts, a phenomenon that seemed familiar to Dieble. She pushed her father away, damaging the body he was in, but he swears to return for her someday as he fled from the land. Knowing her father, something was brewing with him along the many questions stewing in her head such as both her and her son’s slight change in aspects, but most of all their starry wings. If there’s one thing she never grasped, it was the origin of her mother. The starry wings were familiar to her, hearing her father once speak of her mother adorned with markings along her body. So little can be answered at the time this moment took place, but she vows to figure it out for both her and her family’s sake. “Someday, this will all come to light…”

Poor Valary…she’s endured so much to be exiled from her home and the status quo.
My OC Rogue (in a certain continuity) bears similar abuse from the norms creating a lack of wellness…and she too is willing to throw claws to break these norms until she’s able to live the peaceful life that she wants, along with those she loves.
She would gladly provide Valary tummy rubs ^^
