To the locals of the city of Almasiburg and adventurers passing through, the Messy Messenger Tavern is a must visit. This unwieldy name (of familial significance) was often shortened to the Mess or just Mess. Used like "lets go to the Mess" or "lets make a Mess."
It was located a convenient distance from the Adventurer's Guild Hall so adventurers would turn in a job and then go spend their earnings on getting sloshed. It was also a reasonable distance from Ye College for Magical Boys (crudely scorched into the sign with hellfire) And Girls so students tired of all the booklearning and being polymorphed by teachers would sneak out for some real world experience - like how much they could drink before falling down.
There were many taverns in Almasiburg. It was a sizable city! Run by the powerful Concolor family! Home to the Crown's Spring Palace! But the Messy Messenger had something the others didn't.
A pair of bat sisters running the place.
When you, a visitor to the lovely city, enter the tavern, the bell above the bar peals, announcing your presence to the patrons and the proprietors. The older sister, Senka is cleaning a mug with a rag. She is dressed similar to many other bartenders you've seen on your travels. Although she makes the simple work clothes and apron look much lovelier than the men you're used to seeing it on.
"Welcome," she says with a small smile. "Grab a seat. Zella will take care of you."
Zella is the younger sister. And she is a dream in a serving wench dress that barely contains her breasts. When she returns to your table with the ale you ordered, she bends over to place it in front of you and your gaze drifts to the displayed cleavage. You admittedly stare far longer than is polite but she takes extra time placing that mug just so on the table.
"Your first time here?" Zella asks.
You answer with a sharp nod.
The bat gal smiles. "I thought so. I make a point to know every one of our regulars. I'm very friendly. Sis says too friendly."
"Stop being so friendly over there. I've got a tray of drinks for you to serve!" Senka called out.
Zella giggled. "Duty calls. Hope I get the chance to get to know you, too."
She stands up straight and makes her way across the tavern. You watch her go.
Then, you sip the ale and nod approvingly. Not watered down like some places you've been. The place has more to recommend it than just an utterly captivating pair of... ahem. Pair of sisters.

This coincidentally became an Amaterasu theme week. Jordan was long past due for a post. It only made sense to post Katie after that. And then I’d posted two Amaterasu arts and it made sense to me to look for a third to round off the week.
Didn’t have a third in the superhero group but sci-fi got so much love recently, why not do something in the adventure fantasy verse?
The tavern was built by Senka and Zella's parents. When they died, the sisters took it over. The tavern was on land owned by the Concolors and it took some doing for Senka and Zella to convince the Concolors to let them take over the business. Well, Zella did the doing. She must have really impressed Lady Concolor because the cougar heiress has frequently stopped by to see how the business was doing. And, also, how Zella is doing.
Senka had to do a lot of growing up to run the business. She's not quite the wild and free Nisha from the modern verse. She's restrained and responsible. With adventurers and magic students making up a big part of the clientele, she needs to keep a clear head to defuse any trouble before it starts.
As the youngest, Zella was always insulated from responsibility. While Senka was helping in the tavern, Zella was playing. Running around town or hanging out at the Guild Hall. And now, Senka being responsible means Zella doesn't have to be. She's a rowdy girl. Drinking and flirting with the customers. But she's helping in her own way. A little wink, a little wiggle, a lot of leaning over. She knows that a little bit of friendliness goes a long way.
