I used to have dreams that took place in liminal spaces that looked just like that but with more random sinks and pipes and stuff. I think they were based on childhood memories of gym showers, public pools, and bathrooms. Sinks, pipes, toilets, tiles, and overhead lighting that's either too harsh or too dim. And if you look into a mirror while in a dream, you might see someone other than yourself.

i feel like the popularity and recognition of "liminal space" comes from a (few) generations of us who slipped into astral projection naturally and were impacted by the non-euclidian deeply.
im glad you can still conjure up the feelings those "dreams" gave you.
Have you ever attempted "lucid dreaming" practices ?

I've always wanted to master that! I read about how to do it, but I guess I'm just not "disciplined" enough (if that's even the right word) to get it to..."actuate" or whatever.

id say the easiest way to get started would be to go to bed slightly hungry and meditate on sitting up while doing slow focused breathing.
but everyone is different as to what works
