Sketch - Cleo
Talking about old, classic cartoons brought to mind this character from the television series, Heathcliff that aired years ago. Her name is Cleo and she aired on a...goodness...I don't know what you'd call it...a companion show that paired with the main story that followed Heathcliff. Presumably in the same neighborhood, a group of junkyard cats lived and that story featured this character...who didn't actually live in the junkyard. She was a little classier than that ^^; She lived in a music store with a dog. Anyhoo, Cleo sketch. Hope you like it! Gotta get back to work! See ya! *waves*

Good ol' classic Catillac Cats! I have a few of those eps on my PS3 that i watch all the time. Here, have the YouTube where most of them are up: http://www.youtube.com/user/Furrlorn
I loved Cleo, even when she was being a bit of a priss sometimes. She always kept Riff Raff and the gang in line, and I always though it was funny when Riff Raff always tortured Bush (the dog Cleo was living with at the music store) when he came to visit her. Cleo was one hot cookie in that show, and you captured her to a T.

Ah, Cleo... And those legwarmers... Two of the three or four things I most fondly remember about the 1980s. :)
As a girlfriend, though, one reviewer but it best when he described her as "high maintenance." She was definitely a handful for her boyfriend, Riff-Raff.
Believe it or not, they're still showing those old cartoons on a local broadcast channel.

Nice blast from the past.
Cleo was certainly the looker in the Cadillac Cats series, though as a person...oy. TK had it right to call her 'high maintenance'. The 80s cartoons had alot of female characters like that.
(It was one of the reasons why lil' ol teenaged me was drawn to the Dinosaucers in the mid-80s like a moth to a bugzapper. It was silly, campy, and corny, but it had a literal rare bird in an assertive, intelligent female character -- Teryx).

Ahhh... good ole Catillac Cats! I loved that car they had that could turn into a boat and a tub and whatnot! Hee! And Riffraff, and Mungo, and... golly, I must admit I can't remember all the names, but that guy on the rollerskates who talked in rhymes was so very funny too!
*giggles*
I haven't watched that show for almost two decades anymore, if not longer... but I can still do this from memory.
Ahem...
♫Heathcliff, Heathcliff, no one should.♪Terrorize the neighborhood♫'Cause Heathcliff just won't be undone.♪PLaying games on everyone!♫

That would be Wordsworth! He's my second favorite of the crew.
BTW, I think you'll find this to your liking: http://www.youtube.com/user/Furrlorn

Beautiful artwork! I loved watching Heathcliff as a kid and always thought Cleo was a mega-hottie. Lovely artwork!
Heathcliff was one of those 2-shows-in-one that had the Heathcliff portion and the Catillac Cats portion. Cleo was the girlfriend to RiffRaff, who was the leader of the Catillac Cats with Hector, Wordsworth, and Mongo being his stooges. There was a little crossover between the two halves of the show with Hector, Wordsworth, and Mongo sometimes interacting with Heathcliff for one reason or another. I don't know if Heathcliff was ever in the same segment as RiffRaff.

That character may well be responsible for my character set. It was through drawing Catillac cats fanart (particularly Cleo) that I received advice from my art teacher (something along the lines of "you'll receive far more accolades for your own designs than you will for drawing someone else's creation") that resulted in the characters I draw today (yes, some of them do go back that far).
As far as I know, the only place where Heathcliff and Riff-Raff appeared together was in the end credits, however, the "movie" you mention is something that escapes my recollection.
