This is a heavily modernized/chiptunized version of the Lave Reef Zone song from Sonic and Knuckles SEGA game. Took a good 4 days or so.

One of the upcoming tracks to my "Project Super Sonic" EP. Hope you all enjoy!

I reeeeeeaaaaally love this remix. Only problem is the instruments. It doesn't sound like a chiptune at all (much less 8-bit). The instruments sound like a midi played with Microsoft's default soundfont.

The song itself is great though.

Well if you want. I could fire uP my Gameboy Color and launch LSDJ. Or Famitracker/Milkytracker.

Raw Square/Sine/Triange waves = Chiptunes IMHO. :)

You don't have to go all hardcore on it. I'm just saying that anything's better than MS's soundfont.

I personally would use VOPM or a Genesis soundfont in FL Studio.

Well, TBQH I'm real comfortable with MIDI. So comfortable that I can make a song in MIDI in about 4 hours. Then if I re-create in FL, it takes a whole week or so -_-

It's really easy import a midi into FL Studio btw. And FL Studio has a plugin to replace individual midi instruments with SF2 instruments.

You don't have to recreate the entire song.

Yeah, I know. But everytime I try that, it butchers any pitch bends I've put down into the MIDI. D:
