Ailana is back! I was hoping she’d make another appearance. It feels like it’s been an eternity since she’s been seen.
She’ll have a bigger role than just “slightly resents Mora” and “background character”, right? Hopefully so.
Also, the fact that there have been absolutely no human Knights in this world’s history seems unlikely, given how long this Knight thing has gone on. Is the Knighthood thing a recent development, as the Knighthood series takes place after Las Lindas? Even so, how come there are so many Prime Knights in that series and Las Lindas, but miraculously no humans? Am I looking too much into this?

We're not Primes. We have no connection to their gods or clans. Thus, no clan powers. Add to that the fact that we are considered physically sub-par by their standards and it stands to reason that there are no human knights.
We are the children of steel and tears; We don't get any gifts besides whatever we can build-- and raw, seething grit.
Personally, I think that is something we should be proud of.

In fact, this was foreshadowed almost SIX years ago in another AtHP, here:

It's weird, right? Every now and then you see stuff about anti-Narakhan stuff (which is always awkward because they look almost no different from any other prime) but you never see anything about Prime and human relations even though it was apparently a big deal in the lore and humans apparently make up the majority on the planet. Why even bother having that lore be a thing if you're not going to use it, you might as well just make the Primes the majority.
It's because that's what Chalo had in mind before Las Lindas was even a thing. A lot of the weird and frankly more interesting parts of this world are things Chalo had in his head for a while but it feels like either he's too distracted to do anything with them or the other creatives he's working with would rather focus on the stuff the comic's constantly been fun of for. That's also my current theory for the Sarah plot twist thing, I'm currently in the camp that Chalo actually did plan that but other writers possibly did too many things and fucked it but Chalo is still trying to force it in and pretend it's functional.
Except there's no way he would've planned that, especially because he didn't create Sarah, SoulKat did, and it would never make sense even back then, unless we're to believe she's the child of some previously unknown offshoot of the royal bloodline, which I doubt they considered then either.
Honestly, yeah, both he and SoulKat (who, remember, is still the lead writer of the main comic) are just trying to revive a previously dropped plot thread and making it increasingly dumber in the process as they keep reworking it to fit the ever-changing tone and plot of this comic that clearly should've ended already.
I mean, I'm not a writer so I might be off base here. But like going off of the concept of work and efficiency, trying to make what is already not a particularly compelling idea like that work when it's already broken sounds like a lot of work for what's probably not a strong pay off. Wouldn't it be more logical to just drop it and do your best to just never bring any attention to it ever, or at least retcon it into something useable lol
Christ on a stick, this comic needs to just fucking end already...
Yeah, once again, can't wait to see how they try and explain how Sarah's supposed to be the fucking princess, the writing is taking itself way more seriously than is warranted, and okay, Geecku's officially a cannibal, cool.

I'm more interested in knowing why they thought it was a great idea to have Geecku literally hard-vore someone alive.
And this also once again shows off the comic's wildly fluctuating tone. I swear, they have NO CLUE what this comic's tone is or who the target audience is. I've said before that it feels like they're trying to make their own knockoff My Hero Academia, but more accurately at this point, their method is like mixing My Hero Academia with pieces of a D-grade harem romcom anime, Looney Tunes and Breaking Bad and thinking the end result is a masterpiece that should be taken seriously.

She makes a point of how she hasn't eaten yet today and pounces on the guy, who starts screaming as we're given clear flesh and bone-rending noises, while the flavour text and description box both reference Muldoon's last words in the Jurassic Park scene that's clearly being aped here, plus Geecku's already been used by Chalo to experiment with kinks and has already teased the idea of voring someone at least twice, I don't think there's much chance that the guy hasn't been literally devoured by her.
Though I wouldn't say the guy hadn't done anything yet, given he was about one second away from murdering Sunny and Grant. Because this comic's writers think it's even remotely earned this level of grim seriousness.

Even though it says "taking the shot" I didn't see a gun on the guy. I don't think those binoculars were going to do much.
I could totally see the vore being added to appease the 1 specific person, Randal Drake/K9 Heat, who keeps asking for it. I hope this isn't the route they're going to go, unless it's like a thing where Geecku can swallow them whole and barf them back up or something to keep them alive.

I would say that maybe she transformed into something small like in "Ram Boy" and quietly got to get to where he was without detection, but that carries it's own baggage because then why would you transform back into your real form and potentially reveal yourself and why would the comic not show that sequence happening...
Actually, come to think of it, if you're right and she is just gonna harmlessly haul him around in her gut, that'll cater to a whole other kink altogether, one that people have received flak from a portion of the comic's fandom for enjoying, one which said fans treat like the actual worst, most disgusting thing someone could be into, and it'd be hilarious seeing those fans get really fuckin' disproportionately upset by it actually showing up onscreen in the comic. So hey, maybe it should turn out to be that.
Sidenote, I chalk the lack of gun in the actual art up to miscommunication between artist and writer.

I can understand why we don't see the politics and stuff in the main comic. It might not fit the tone of LL's more relaxed story. But you're right, it is a VERY interesting background aspect of the setting that I hope we get to see more flushed out in the future. Maybe in bonus comics, or other AtHP posts.
I love this world and want to see more of it. There's so much potential here.

I disagree, Las Lindas isn't really as cozy as people tend to pretend it is and it's also supposed to be the comic that's about the every day lives of the normal(ish) people in this world. Normal(ish) people who are effectively running a business, mind you. Normal(ish) people have to deal with and tend to be invested in some form of politics, in fact there was even hints of that kind of world building at the very beginning of the comic but it got thrown out super quick.
I wouldn't even have an issue with it being all over the place if it at least did enough interesting things, but the comic never wants to show anything for some reason. I'm fucking losing it at how they brought up agents being all over the farm but then fucking Sunny and Sarah just walk out with no issues.
It's worse when you think about missed content opportunity. Sunny brought up how much she's willing to do just so see Grant for a little bit. Wouldn't having her deal with some agents to get to where she wants to go not be a good way to strengthen that part of her character, while also adding in some slight conflict? It's not even like it'd be hard to write either, we know that Sunny is more than willing to go off on people and can intimidate people larger and (presumably) stronger than her. But instead, Minos just let's them leave because Geecku is going to be there stalking them as a tiny green squirrel thing that somehow no one notices.
She would have been doing it all the time. Shapeshifting at will is one of those powers were, even if you were like a pretty boring person, you would still find yourself using it on the regular. But Geecku just conveniently never did it until now. Now she's constantly going to be doing it in both comics.
I thought about it a little more and it's actually even weirder when you consider how powers are typically done in media. You could easily just had a chapter involving Geecku in LL and maybe just have her discover the ability. She's pretty much the dumbest of the Crest so it wouldn't be out of character for her to not have a complete understanding of what she can do. And that can basically act of your set up for transformation stuff.
It's another of this series weird habits of refusing to just show things. Just missed opportunities.

They could barely justify Ailana's presence as a character to begin with.
Also, I just realized, I love that this adds yet another layer of proof that they were bullshitting any time they claimed the Primes are all speaking some alien language humans have no hope of understanding or pronouncing. As if the majority of characters having ordinary human names wasn't enough.

I just think it's hilarious that we were ever supposed to buy that, along with the simultaneous claim that Primes can't learn human languages unless they're raised in a real-world place, when--again--everyone has a normal human name. Hell, some even have TWO normal human words for names--Taffy isn't Taffy's real name, remember, and Alejandra's been known by the nickname "Patches"! Christ, at one point we were told Idward was teaching Ailana the weird mystical Prime language whose alien syntax and writing system no human can learn and teaching Sarah and Geecku how to write it, only to be shown Sarah practicing writing the English alphabet!
