This is an amazing digital drawing created by the ever-so-skillful (and ever-so-patient) artist
Novra!
The first comission of my fursona, it is a snapshot of myself midmotion in a roue Cyr. What's a roue Cyr? It's a simple circus contraption that consists of a metal ring; it's pretty much the younger sibling of a German wheel. You can do some pretty cool looking moves in them, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn85_kI3N_I I wanted to get one at the end of summer, but I guess I'll have to wait as school's a-calling
Many thanks to the artist himself for putting up with my ridiculousness, and to
Waggable- the sweet doggy who got me this comission order last Christmas
"Meow gusto mucho."

your best bet is to make it in sections; that way you can break it down for transportation.
there's a guy in st-antoine, quebec that makes these. i want to get one from him, but i'm thinking about getting a german wheel instead. think if you were to use just the rim part, it would work like a cyr wheel? i mean, german wheel is pretty much one step up, isn't it?

The german wheel is like two roue cyrs attached together. There is some cross-over with some movements, but I really love the simplicity and elegance of the roue cyr.
I really can't afford a professionally crafted one, so I'd have to do it on the cheap. I know some people in the metal awning business, so I might be able to convince them to bend some steel for me as a favor or at least for a little money. The welding and the rest of the fabrication I should be able to do myself it's just the bending. :)
Anywho... sweet illustration!
