On an early spring night in 2020 near Gimli, Manitoba, Canada, a childless couple on a farm were shook up when they saw a vehicle falling out of the sky, flames trailing its quick descent. It crashed in the forest nearby, and the couple went out to check if there were any survivors. When they came at the crash site, they were shocked by what they saw: it was a small space ship, heavily damaged by the impact. They could enter through the broken front windows, and saw two three-headed feline bodies in the chairs, both holding each other's hands until their last moments. The couple almost wanted to head back home when they heard the cries of a baby; someone survived! They went to the back of the ship, and found a three-headed baby, still in need. They decided to take the helpless child in need home, to at least let it survive for the night. Though the couple always wanted a child, but never seemed to get any no matter how they tried, this three-headed baby that had come falling from the sky was something they hadn't prepared for.
The next day, a mysterious organisation, only known as the Agency, arrives at the scene, trying to covering up the crash. They come knocking at their door, revealing they've witnessed them taking the child home. They explain to the family that the Agency is in charge to keep the existence of aliens under wraps with the co-operation of said aliens. The baby they family took in is an alien, a Duduani. Not much was known about them, as the Duduani themselves only joined the galactic community earlier this year. They say that without his parents, someone else needs to take care of him, and killing the baby would not be an acceptable way to hide alien life, not even for the Agency. For the little baby, it was convenient that his form could be passed off as a magical incident of some sort. The foster parents took the responsibility of taking care of him, under one condition: his parents should receive a proper burial at the graveyard nearby. The Agency complied, burying them in an unmarked grave. The parents decided to give a name to each of the kids' heads: Clement, Arthur and Kyle, or Clark as all three of them together, and giving him his traditional Icelandic paternal name Jonatanson. Both his parents were descendents of the Icelandic community who founded New Iceland in this region, and wanted to pass on the tradition generation upon generation.
Clark grew up living a relatively normal life. What his foster parents noticed was that his three heads all developed a different character, even though the body seemed to behave as it was one person. Clement is very curious, and wanted to learn as much as he could, but also seemed to be nearsighted. Arthur seemed to be the most extrovert of the trio, and was the first to talk. Kyle, on the other hand, was much more orientated on his own body, mainly staying in shape and being active. As they grew up, these differences became more pronounced, and they learned to appreciate each other's talents. Arthur mostly did the talking for them, while Clement made sure they got through school, and is the only one of them that can speak French and Icelandic (their parents' private language) fluently besides English. Kyle made sure they're eating healthy and does plenty of exercise, which made his body look muscular and he's top fit, having no trouble cycling about 15 kilometers to the school in Gimli each day.
But once a year, his foster parents left home for a day without any further explanation, until he was thirteen, when they finally revealed to him what they were doing, and who he really was. This was the anniversary when they found him, when the spaceship had crashed, and each year, they came to visit the grave of his parents to pay them their respects. And this time, they decided that Clark had to see this as well. They drove to the graveyard, and his foster parents showed him to the unmarked grave. This broke Clark, feeling the pain of missing his real parents he had never known, and wished he would've met them. He claimed he could relate to Superman's story, who, like them, is also an alien orphan growing up on a different world than where they came from. Although it was emotionally rough, he was thankful that his foster parents had shown him the truth about him. That it was not kept a secret anymore.
When he was 16, K-Day broke out. And although he was far away from the action, he too noticed the world had changed, as getting the basic necessities was hard. But one First Contact came, and aliens were finally not taboo anymore, he felt more at ease at revealing what he was. But now that Earth was part of the galactic community, Clark had a new goal in life: find his own people. He enlisted for the Terran Fleet, and was accepted to serve as a cadet on the brand new Pioneer. However, this was in the middle the Kentauros War, and he was trusted into battle. This was not how he had imagined space travel to be, longing for exploration missions. It was only a year later that an opportunity arose: a neighbouring alien civilisation, not part of UFIS yet, had decided to step into the conflict and declared their alliance with Earth. The Kentauros retreated, judging this new alliance overwhelming after matching evenly with Earth. The war was over, but Clark had no idea who these aliens were. That was until the captain invited him to the conference hall, and there he came face to face with one of the captains of the alliance: a Duduani, just like him. They explained that they too had a rough time the first few years in space, as UFIS did little to help them, and that was only twenty years ago. They wanted to be close friends to another civilisation like them, also just turning up to the scene, so they won't feel alone. Clark tells he was found twenty years ago, on which the Duduani captain reveals that many small explorer ships had been sent out during that era, but some never came back. They didn't have the data at hand, but they would look it up who his parents were. The Duduani captain kept to their word, and Clark received files from the Duduani archive about his biological parents, a young couple of enthusiastic anthropologists who wanted to go to Earth to study the culture, but never made it due to technical issues. Now with all the answers he desired, he could put that part of the past to rest.
Clark didn't stay in the Terran Fleet for long, grown tired after the war, and instead wanted to become Earth's ambassador on Duduan. After learning the ropes from Sabrina, he was sent to Duduan, a world he had never seen before. It was a strange sensation for him to see most people around him being like him. For once, he looked normal. But having grown up on Earth, he was familiar with the culture and people from that planet. He puts in his best efforts to tighten the relationship between the two planets, to keep the alliance alive. In this time, he meets Lovisa, his personal assistant at the embassy. The two clicked on day one, and got into a relationship. Each of their three heads got their own personal attention from one of the other's heads. Lovisa was very curious about life on Earth, and was in particular fascinated about magic. Clark told her that unfortunately he wasn't a magic user, so he couldn't show her, but that one day he would take her to Earth, and show her the world he had called home for two decades. The two of them would live together for a long time, and started their own family. He even came in contact with his grandparents and extended family, who had no idea he had survived. From time to time, he would get back to Earth with Lovisa and his kids to visit his parents on the humble farm he grew up. Even though he was an alien, his foster family would always see them and his Duduani family as one of their own.

I had this guy's backstory in my mind for a while now, but now I finally have a character reference drawing of him. It may be a bit of a sad story, but I'm quite satisfied how it came together.

Although each one of them is able to control their entire body, they take turns to whoever needs it most at that time, in order not to interfere in each other's coordination. It took a while for the three brothers to figure out that this was the best way to do it, stumbling many times as a toddler.
