This is a superb portrait and a fitting sequel to the old Syver flag art you did years ago! I like how he pops out of the confines of the circle, but not excessively, so he still feels grounded but not "flat" so to speak. The bright colours of his markings look very pretty up close too, and the background colour choices harmonise with them really well. I also appreciate how the flag leads the eye towards your signature, then from there up to his head crest, which then curves away as if to lead your gaze clockwise around the image. While relatively simple in concept, I think you did a really good job with this one and it looks really polished and pretty! I'm glad you managed to get it done in time :)
Thank you! <3 I felt like it had to be Syver because of that old flag art, though also because I hadn't done anything with him since the reference. It was a good chance to re-familiarise myself with the new markings and colours, which really just reminded me of how much I liked them. I, of course, can't take full credit for things like the background since you're the one that suggested the sort of colour range and level of darkness/brightness that might work, I just tried stuff following that advice. So thank you again!
