Perhaps unsurprisingly, interacting with Nyx is an intimidating process, the idea of having to converse with one of the absolutely highest powers in all of our creation, especially with her amorphous and frightful looking true form. To make things a little bit easier, she realized she perhaps was in need of a more... sociable shape. So using her free floating form as the personification of the shadows, she forged an anthropomorphic body for herself that is ah... quite something.
I don't want to seem odd by commenting about my mother-in-law's figure, but it's very clear she shaped her avatar's anthropomorphic body with sex appeal in mind, with a voluptuous and motherly figure decked in a dress she seemed to have a taste for that looked like something I've seen lounge singers wear before. I'm not sure what kind of fashion apparel shadow creatures wear, but for lack of any further knowledge, I can just assume this is the usual attire for them.
I didn't voice it when she was visiting Fia, but I feel like perhaps her sense of logic as a Primal may have... missed the mark a little bit. This avatar is still eight feet tall, and her true form's hands serve as giant prehensile wings. With such a statuesque woman of power, especially one who is imitating an infamously predatory and playful species, it was really only a little less frightful than her Spireborn personification.
Please don't mention I said that, reader.

Taking a kind-of-break from Refs for this one!
Given that Nyx's true form is a little inexact, even if it still makes plenty of sense, having her drawn in an alt form with a more anthropomorphic shape was definitely in the cards for a while. While there was a temptation to maybe have the form designed akin to Possessed Peach, fitting her inspiration as the Shadow Queen from Thousand Year Door, I had also recently finished and immensely enjoyed Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, and decided to have her anthropomorphic form based on that game's Nyx, which is also where I took the dress design from!
Maybe some vore with her in the future, maybe just with her true form, we shall see, but I'm glad to have this around for reference!
Nyx belongs to me!
Artwork is by the ever lovely
