Who left their Gardevoir rooted to the ground on Route 121? Don't they know there are dangerous packs of Mightyena?
Back in MY DAY (👴) Gardevoir was a pure Psychic type. Regardless, this one is unlucky with the fact that it doesn't know any non psychic damaging moves. Playing through Omega Saphire was interesting since I always have a gardevoir on my hoenn runs and I now had to watch out for poison type moves due to the fairy typing, when back then Gardevoir used to be a good match-up for poison types. I also like the restriction of using ralts in early game, since it used to be weak to poochyena (which are everywhere) and it couldn't have any moves that could effect them. The pay off for a gardevoir seemed bigger that way.
