captaingerbear held a challenge where each participant would be paired with another and have to design the genetic offspring they'd produce (barring gender restrictions, of course 8B). I was paired up with  smokey, and this panda/tanuki hybrid is the resultant child. His name is Obsidian Smokey, but just call him Sid.

From a design standpoint, I thought the panda side would be dominant in terms of appearance, since Onyx has some bear in his family as well. However, his white markings turned out more of a butter-cream, and he got my blonde hair. His tail is probably the most obvious part of him that betrays his hybrid nature, as it's taken on the length of my raccoon-dog ancestors. Thanks to Smokey's natural bulk and the belly that most of my brethren have, his gotten a bit of a gut himself, but is otherwise quite muscled. He adopted Smokey's love of piercings as well as my affinity toward formalwear, but disdains glasses and shades for some reason. He's grown up to be a successful businessman and loves nothing more than sitting around on top of crappy backgrounds atop invisible boxes.

My son seems to have gotten a habit of wearing rather plain designer boxers. No idea why he likes the type with no hole in the front, but hey.
