1.6 Farewell Meeting - Sirius

Upon our return, our brave team of excavators was met at Colibris by Ceatus himself. Rark had beaten us to the station and managed a quick word with Drake, who warned us of this unexpected visit.As an avid collector, Ceatus was eager to personally inspect our haul and, if possible, barter for the most valuable items. The most prized among them was Vizdas’s helmet. I had to put on a brave face despite the bad hand.
“- Maximus! Don’t tell me you came to bid me farewell in person?” - Rark’s gaze was brimming with cunning and guile - secret negotiations were about to begin. To avoid complications, we sent the “newbie” to the market before departure. After all, Brax now had a perfect chance to make good on his promise, though after his encounter with the Kugi, seafood was the last thing on his mind. Lina also excused herself from Rark’s company, leaving only Drake by my side.
Stepping aboard Colibris, Ceatus’s eyes locked onto the wrapped relic, knowing exactly what it was. He reached for it with his greedy hands, but I beat him to it. My gesture displeased the ancient one, and a heated verbal spar could have erupted. However, I granted one of his requests - to show him Vizdas’s mask, letting him feast his covetous, piercing gaze upon it. No doubt he’d hold a grudge and try to trade for or outright take the mask later. For now, in response to my defiance, he chose to stay silent about what had happened to its owner.The mask wasn’t the only artifact that caught Ceatus’s interest - he took the Eitzne with him, which somewhat soothed his frustration over the mask.
“- We’ll meet again, Nag’id’Sai. We’ll meet again.”
Rark left the ship, and we waited for Brax’s return. Once he took the helm of his fighter, we departed the station together. Aligning our ships, we jumped through the rift, heading home. On the other side, Khates Katzite was already waiting for us.
