I've had his reference sheet done for about a week but my wife  Dayay decided it's necessary to BREAK HER FUCKING LEG (ily dumbass) so I kinda wasnt online much and this was put on hold for a little :')
But without further ado:

MEET EVERETT!!
He's my irl (and first) car and my sweet baby boy <3 Yes, before you ask I will upload irl photos of my big man right after and I have some other art of him to upload but I thought it'd be best to upload his reference sheet first!

Some Everett Lore:
Everett is an eldritch shapeshifter much like his dad, can you guess who? Yep, that's right! Everett is Mitchells canonical son.
Everett and Mitchell do NOT get along well, they have a ton of family trauma with each other that I will expand on in a future story (when I can actually finish writing it rip) but the gist of it is that Everett is generally a lot weaker than Mitchell and he also has a lot of mental health issues which is the reason why Mitch refers to Everett as a "disappointment".
Mitch isnt a good guy, I dont think I need to explain that again lmao but yeah, they have a LOT of drama going on between each other and they are just working it out now that they have to both live in the same place together.. fun!!

Everett might look big and scary but he is very shy and reserved and an absolute sweetheart.
As stated previously, his genes make him pretty bad at regenerating which is why he has visible damage and rust all over his body compared to Mitchells flawless body.
He is pretty decent at shape shifting though and he has various forms: He can shapeshift into an oversized, blue alligator (looks more like Purussaurus but whatever), a large blue griffin (the bird part of his griffin form is based on the Californian Scrub Jay!), he has a human form and some others shapes that I'm sure he'll explore in due time!


IRL Backstory:
About a year ago I finally decided it's time, I should get my first car. As some of you know I am actually born and raised in germany but currently working on emigrating to Oregon! Because of that I decided to give up on trying to get a german license (they are INCREDIBLY hard to get and very expensive, we're talking thousands just to get through the theory test) and I instead got myself a learners permit in america which was.. so much fucking easier lmao
When I was still in germany I found an ad on Facebook Marketplace about a GORGEOUS 1970 Skylark. He was bright green and I fell in love with him regardless of the work he'd need. Nicknamed him Buck and I told the owner "hey my flight is literally tomorrow, can you put him on hold for like maybe a weekend til I'm there and can come get him??" and the owner said yeah sure.. well, while I was in the air above the Atlantic.. he sold the car. I landed and was devastated and SO mad when Day told me about it that I said "fuck it, I'm buying the next car that looks good."
And thats how I found my Everett!
Funny enough, when I first saw him I had no idea Ford ever made a UTE like Chevy made the El Camino.. I didnt even know Rancheros were a thing and I dont know why but I just fell in love with him (there was a video attached to the post where you could hear his engine growl and.. it kinda convinced me that he's the one lmao).
So I messaged the owner, Dennis, when I could come get him.

On the 13th of July, 2024 I bought my baby boy. We traveled four hours north to go get him in Everett, Washington, on the way up there I decided that that was gonna be his name, much like how Mitchell is called Mitchell because I canonically found him in Mitchell, Oregon!
We had a car transport organized but when we arrived at the place they called and said their driver was in the hospital. They can send someone else for another 200. It was a scam. So we were stuck up there and I was panicking, I knew I NEEDED Everett and I had no idea how to get him home.. thankfully Dennis offered to drive him down to Salem, Oregon (where we live) for around 80 bucks and fuel costs.
So thats what we did, we escorted Dennis and Everett home to our apartment (in easily 100F heat.. Everett doesnt have an AC either lmao) and after that.. we had to bring Dennis back home. Day was awake for almost 24 hours at that point and on our way back to Washington she almost crashed (TWICE) because she was fucking falling asleep at the wheel and.. it was a little terrifying lmao
But we made it to Dennis house and he FORCED us to stay at his place for safety reasons and we slept in Christie (Days Ford Focus) until she was safe enough to drive again.

Getting Everett home was an absolute adventure in itself but my god I love that car. We've already experienced so many good memories with him (and the cops seem to like him too lmao) and I will NEVER get rid of my baby boy <33 He also has a ton of funny quirks that I still have to work on and I can tell so many exciting stories about things we've experienced so far.. maybe I shall in the future <3

He's obviously not replacing Mitchell, they'll just have to get along when I park them in the same garage in the future lmfao
