Rope is very fun, but of course, you also need to do it correctly. Getting the rope ready is not something done in seconds o-o;;;
I gotta say, makes you wonder who is the mysterious fur tying her... :P

You are quite correct, simply unpacking a new rope and using it will result in a painful disaster. It has to be rested, allowed to relax, manipulated. If I remember correctly, it takes a day or two just to prepare a new rope for use. Let us not forget that selecting the right type and size of rope is even more important.
