ehehe thank you! my girl's sire is working as a "Hound" and the mustached man might be looking for additional Hounds. So I wanted to add doggos here

The whole story is looong ... It's an ongoing ttrpg game
In short, the dude in red is blue girl's "sire". She is only few days in her new vampire life, and she is very bad at controlling her anger. And if you give up to your emotions on that ball, both she and he will be killed. No one wanted to go on the ball, but they had to.
Additionally, the mustached dude is sire's boss, local..err...police chief. And she knows he might need new policemen. So she's unsure if mustached man likes to dance, or checking how well she can hold her nerves and if she'll be a good candidate or not.
Sire is looking at her constantly, counting steps between them. to be able to try to save her if she'll do something wrong.

She was perfect by the way. The star of the evening.
