Fakemon - Paleon the Ground-Type Eeveelution
I adopted a ground-type eeveelution fakemon concept awhile back on Toyhouse and recently decided to develop them in time for Art Fight! They're pretty much perfect for the theme, and I had so much fun getting to experiment with different palettes to create the shiny and alternate forms that I ended up making several designs based off the initial one I adopted.
So yeah, here's the lore for them so far:

FAKEMON - PALEON the GROUND-TYPE EEVEELUTION
Paleo - "ancient, early, prehistoric, primitive, or fossil"An Eevee can be evolved into a Paleon if given a Ground Stone. Paleon tend to live in small packs called "digs." Likewise, their burrow sites are referred to as "dig sites." They're mostly found in the western hemisphere, though small populations have been found in the east, as well. Their preferred habitats are those that tend to have exposed earth and variations in elevation, i.e. mountains, dirt hills, canyons, gorges, etc.
For whatever reason, wild Paleon tend to mostly be female (about 75% of wild populations), with males making up the minority.
They tend to collect bones, rocks, fossils, gems, and metals to decorate their dens, and have been known to replace or reinforce their own bony parts with others that they scavenge or dig up. Nobody is sure why or how the bones along their spines are able to stay suspended. It's theorized that they contain traces of metal of opposing polarities to the ones on their backs, or that they have scavenged the fossils of ancient Steel-type Pokémon specifically that once again have opposing polarities.
Lone Paleon are an alternate form Paleon may take if given a Ground Stone while it is the only Pokémon in a trainer's party. In the wild, they evolve from loner Eevees who encounter Ground Stones. Upon evolution, they gain not only ground-type, but dark-type as well.
Due to their solitary lifestyle, they have evolved horns, saber teeth, and long dew claws on their hind paws to better defend themselves and fight off larger Pokémon. The males have larger horns than the females, and both sexes are slightly larger than their normal Paleon counterparts.
