"Rubber Ducky?"
"Check!"
I have been wanting to draw a proper Nat piece for ages, last time I drew her as an aeromorph was back in December last year. I wanted to go more lose and painterly with this one, and wanted to go for a nice dawn scene, as Nat prepares for a flight. I had a lot of fun painting the clouds and adding the rubber ducky later on into the piece - I cannot leave that out, Nat does take it everywhere with herself after all.
I have made slight updates to her design which I am happy about, most noticeably the rudders have been moved to her boot-boosters from her thighs, because I was never really happy with their placement there. The underside of the wing - although barely visible - has been redesigned to be more accurate to the original Darkstar with the grey and dark grey patterns.
Plus this was a good opportunity to show Nat with the cover plates she can put on before flight to protect the sensitive areas-
This piece made me very satisfied and excited to work on new, similar pieces!

Iv'e never shown my art for this genre because I could never get it right. I worry that I'd be doing these beauties injustice. I'm sad to say I gave up for a few years, but seeing yours changed me. She is so beautiful I can't stop thinking her and trying again. I just wanted to say thank you.
