The DEMETER Stealth Operations Field Dress (SOFD) is a Dawnbringer suit designed for use on high-risk missions where discretion is more vital than combat capability. Such operations typically involve potential collateral damage or deep infiltration behind enemy lines. The DEMETER gear's lineage can be traced back to the early 21st century in the form of active camouflage, which has now become more viable due to recent advancements in technology. Early covert operations relied on modified HERMES suits, which integrated such systems, but various limitations and difficulties in implementing the relevant hardware led to the creation of a dedicated stealth platform.
DEMETER suits possess the following characteristics:
- Micro-Weaved Optical Distortion Bodysuit - A bodysuit made out of a protective nanofiber capable of bending light around the wearer, effectively making them invisible. The bodysuit's fibers are also coated with a special paint that hides infrared and thermal signatures.
- Integrated QUIVER Helmet - An enclosed helmet integrating some technologies from the STRIDENT and HERMES suits, including an encrypted laser communications system, thermal and night vision, and artificial intelligence docking ports.
- Shield Generator - Internally mounted shield generator that projects the same defensive energy barriers as seen on other suits. This system uses a separate recharging battery, allowing the shield to protect the user without disrupting their cloak.
- Reactive Tourniquet Undersuit - Worn underneath the main bodysuit, this secondary suit consists of a reactive gauze that responds to user injury. When triggered, the undersuit expands over the affected area and integrates itself into the wound to promote rapid regeneration.
- Active Communications Jammer - Installed in the back of the DEMETER suit, this device can distort, hijack, or completely sever communications between enemy units. When integrated with an AI, the jammer can replicate voices to cause confusion and misinformation.
This amazing art piece was done by
Xefri and it's meant to be a set of stealth gear for Northpaw operatives. I took inspiration from quite a few sources from this one, such as the suit that Solid Snake from Metal Gear tends to wear, though it also has some elements of Halo's SPI Armor.
