Commission! I wanted to pull from the real life inspiration of Boltund, so I used greyhounds for reference :D

Wow, would’ve never expected something Pokémon related from you, but I think out of all the designs, such a direct animal pastiche is in your wheelhouse. You really captured some of the nitty gritty of the anatomy through asymmetry here, love that one ear is floppier than the other, how one of the hands in the midst of crunching up into a paw, and how the legs are of different lengths and proportions. I definitely see the greyhound influence, especially in that long snout. Have you much experience seeing them in videos or irl? I’ve heard they’re pretty lazy, contrary to how fast they are. In addition, how difficult was it to translate the Pokemon design into your style? Overall, I think you did a great job, though!
I actually have several other Pokemon commissions I've done, but I don't post them, as I don't want Pokemon to be the ONLY thing I do haha. I also love seeing how a Pokemon might be closer to real animals (there's some INCREDIBLE artists that play with that), so this was definitely a nice one to play with.
Also, greyhound ears are SO weird when you look at them! Totally skrunkled!
I think I've seen more italian greyhounds because of Jenna Marbles, but that makes sense. When they're not locked in, they're laid back.
And thank you! because I was able to base this on a real species, translating it wasn't too bad. The more... abstract Pokemon would be much harder haha.
