You're already quite great

Well thank ya! I'm still trying to get grasp on eyes; these didn't quite come out like the photo I referenced.

They're very realistic though and have a glowing life to them. Even if it didn't turn out to be a carbon copy of the photograph, what matters is it that it's still beautiful and rich with detail and shadows, and I've always thought lots of scratchy lines making up a whole gives a vibrant feel to images, like you can imagine she'll give her head a toss and laugh with a big smile at you, it's not just a flat drawing

That scratchy style has been part of my technique for years. My professors seem to love it although I've never thought much of it. I'm glad you like it too.
