One heckuva a large commission for the infamous Tarnac Wah Katze Disanti (am I missing anything here?)! I apologize for the bad scan, I got tired of wrestling with it. Someday I'll get a scan up without the ugly line down the middle.
Katze, left, and Disanti, right, for Katze. He likes dragons and the way I do wings so he asked for the dragon coiling in the background and for the cats to be winged.
I'm not sure of the entire dimensions of the piece, but it's pretty big. It was a lot of work, all colored pencils. The eyes were the most fun, of course. Nice big juicy cat eyes.
Prismacolor pencils on Canson tinted paper.

Isn't he a great character? I had such fun with those colors. I use lots and lots of layers, I understand the way most of the pigments work together (like how white tends to be strong and show through layers) and follow the fur texture with each stroke, and beer. Lots of beer. If you have specific questions, I'll do my best to answer them!
