I saw this unusual critter in
priscillasheep's gallery and learned about an animal I'd never heard of before: the Tully monster. It was discovered as a fossil in Illinois in 1955 and nobody can seem to agree on how to even classify it. And given my affinity for the obscure and esoteric, what better than one of those prehistoric species whose classification is disputed?
That seemed to suggest an enigmatic yet highly academic type. Hence, Verona (she/they). Priscilla also wanted the character to be a lifeguard of some sort, possibly overseeing senior swimming or similar activities. And I like that as a side job, seeing as I also work with the elderly.
