This was picked up at a yard sale some years ago for just a dollar I believe. Features the temperate region camouflage pattern. Part of a presentation made for the Funday Pawpet Show recently.

Oh man, my brother and I had a few of those in the 1970s and 80s. Were so cheap in surplus stores back then. When we lived in Maryland those plus the mosquito head nets were needed in summer when working in the yard. So damn many gnats. Mom would wear one because gnat bites made her face swell up badly.
I bought a reversable survival hat made of ripstop fabric from US Cavalry. It got ruined during a pickup of ferrous chloride from the local wastewater plant. Someone put a galvanized drum on the truck and it pressurized from hydrogen generated. The 3% HCl sprayed out.
Dang. Worst stuff I've worked with have been anhydrous ammonia and then electronics solder. 1000 pounds give or take of the stuff molten in a machine for mass soldering circuit boards. Scary stuff but if you follow the safety protocols you are good for a while. I knew when to quit those jobs when the folks running the places started getting cheap and cutting corners
