Prehistoric is definitely right -- every time I've drawn a Yinglet I've referenced Sinosauropteryx, hahaha. I know it's not strictly canon compliant to shorten/thicken the limbs, but it fits better in my style. ;w;

Oh totally; I love seeing other peoples' personalized interpretations of these fictional creatures, and wouldn't dream of saying "You're doing it wroooooong"
And yeah; the base concept for them was that awkward period in evolution where dinos and lizards started branching out into early mammalian/modern-bird traits, so Sinosauropteryx is a perfect reference, really! : D

I think the only way to be wrong would make the exact OPPOSITE of a Yinglet... though a Telgniy might be fun to design. :thinks:
That makes sense considering their lore! Early synapsids and archosaurs are SO cool, and taking dinosaur inspiration for my rendition of them made a ton of sense to me (since... dinos are my thing, haha).
